Why Blogging?

Discover how RV Content blogs build SEO rankings and deliver marketing results

How Complicated Can Blogging Be?

Blogging seems pretty simple to most people. You may even have an image of a stay at home mom, blogging away in an effort to escape frustrating or lonely days at home with small children. This makes blogs seem…. well… not like much of a powerful marketing tool, but more of a fun, public diary.
Let me assure you, at RV Content, blogging is nothing like keeping a public diary.

But it’s a good question…  how does blogging grow your audience? Or build SEO rankings? Or make you stand out from your competitors?

At RV Content, blogs are written with the intent of achieving specific marketing and even sales goals. Each and every blog post is written with these goals in mind, and incorporate a variety of techniques to move closer to achieving these goals. Below are outlined some of these techniques so you can get a better idea of how powerful blogging can be when done RIGHT.

Remember, this is JUST a look at some features of blogging. I offer additional marketing services (social media management and creation, email marketing, etc.) for businesses wanting greater results.

Average of 1,000 Words

Blog posts over 1,000 words generally rank higher in SEO. Still, the quality of content is always more important than word count!

I take into account the goal of each blog post and the audience it’s being written to. There are times I write more or less than 1,000 words. The length of a post is always a conscious decision made based on research and SEO best practices.

Consulting

I find blogging to be one of the most essential pieces of an effective online marketing strategy. But there is so much more you can do! I consult regularly with my clients, giving them advice not only on their blog, but also on social media, marketing emails, and building marketing funnels.

I want to see your business achieve success. Often times that will mean incorporating additional marketing efforts, and I want you to know that I am here to help you through ALL of it!

Multiple headlines

Headlines are THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF EVERY BLOG POST.

A great headline can generate new traffic to your blog - and even inform an audience about your brand without even clicking to read more.

That’s why having multiple headlines to experiment with is so powerful.

I give you a headline I believe will bring about the greatest result, but I also give you a secondary option. If you don’t see the results you want from a headline, you have a secondary headline ready and available to try whenever you like (I also asses the effectiveness of headlines and will update blog titles). This simple edit can have a huge impact on SEO.

Visuals

I provide visuals that are in-line with your brand. Sometimes I will create visuals, sometimes I will curate visuals available for reuse.

I place visuals for optimal SEO and readability. This allows your readers to have the most enjoyable experience on your blog.

Subheadlines and readability

Readability is incredibly important. Your audience’s attention span is short.

But with well-worded subheadlines, I am able to provide value to your audience, even if they barely skim an article.

Designing a blog post for readability means not only giving your reader the best value and experience, but also better SEO rankings.

External links

External links (blog post links that go to other reputable websites) build your brand’s authority, credibility and most importantly provide value to your readers. This is also a common practice to build SEO rankings.

Internal link building

Internal link building is linking to other blog or web pages on your own website. I focus my blog writing on strategic problems and areas of interest. This means the more blogs I write, the more opportunity I have to link to other blogs I’ve written on your website.

This is a powerful tool as it again provides value to your audience, builds SEO, and... conveys that your brand is an expert and leader in your industry.

Keyword research

Through research, I’m able to discover what your audience wants to know... and what keywords to use to make sure that your blog is THE blog that appears when your audience is Googling away.

Audience research

This is the cornerstone of great content. Blogs are meant to provide value to your audience, but that requires KNOWING your audience... that’s why I spend so much time researching just what your audience’s problems, questions, and desires are. And then I write directly to them.

This is what INBOUND marketing is all about. Creating content that connects with your audience so well, your audience is coming to you (instead of you chasing after an audience that doesn’t care).

Competitor research

Researching your competition gives me a lot of insight into what our marketing and content strategy needs to look like. My goal is to make sure that your blog receives the most traffic, loyal following, and gives the greatest value in your industry.

Whether you want your audience to download a guide in exchange for their email address, sign up for a webinar, or buy a product, every blog post has the intention of moving your audience to a desired action. Over time, my blog posts continually move your audience closer and closer to the sale and becoming a repeat customer.
